Tea Time

Tomorrow is my daughter's 3rd birthday and she has wanted to have a tea party forever now so we decided to have a tea party themed birthday party for her this past weekend.  It was a lot of fun, she requested it to be fancy so everyone dressed up and wore tea party hats. For the cake she asked for a tea cup cake that was pink with pink frosting and sprinkles on top (she is a tom boy if you can't tell haha)
I used a standard white cake recipe and used red food coloring, and a butter cream frosting also dyed pink. I baked it in a bowl so it was the shape of a cup, this was by far the most fun cake i have decorated so far. I also made the whipped cream frosting from the tres leches recipe to put on top. I used floral wire to string marshmallows and shape as the handle and voila the CUTEST cake for the cutest birthday girl!!
